FlexLam Bamboo Fibre Laminate

FlexLam is a bamboo fibre laminate that behaves like a finish, not a build-up. It bonds straight to your existing wall — no plywood or timber backing, no framing, no lost floor area — so a room gains a full-surface material finish without losing millimetres on every wall.

The bamboo fibre core is dimensionally stable and bends to a curve, which makes it the panel of choice for columns, curved reception fronts and feature walls that a rigid sheet cannot follow. It is water resistant and formaldehyde free, so it holds up in Sabah humidity and is safe to specify in bedrooms, clinics and schools.

In Kota Kinabalu, most wall finishes fail the same way: the humidity gets behind them. Plywood-backed panels swell, wallpaper lifts at the seams and painted walls on the ground floor bloom with mould after a wet monsoon. FlexLam avoids the weak point by having no timber backing at all — the bamboo fibre sheet bonds directly to your existing wall, so there is no hidden layer to absorb moisture.

That makes it a practical choice for Sabah homes where a wall has to look good and stay flat for years: living room feature walls, bedroom headboard walls, wardrobe faces and the curved columns common in KK shoplots and condo lobbies. Clinics, kindergartens and offices specify it because it is formaldehyde free.

Because FlexLam adds only millimetres to a wall, it suits renovations where every bit of floor area counts — the compact bedrooms of a Kota Kinabalu apartment, or a corridor that cannot lose width.
